$50-$55/hr

Remote (Must hold an active pharmacist license in your state of residence) About the Opportunity Are you looking to practice pharmacy in a clinical, non-dispensing environment where you can truly work at the top of your license? We are seeking Clinical Pharmacists to support a growing Prior Authorization team. In this role, you'll use your clinical expertise to review medication requests, evaluate medical necessity, and make evidence-based coverage determinations that help patients access appropriate therapies. This is a fully remote opportunity with a collaborative team environment and no retail metrics, dispensing responsibilities, or direct patient care requirements. What You'll Do
+ Review prior authorization and appeal requests for prescription medications
+ Evaluate clinical documentation and apply established coverage criteria
+ Determine medical necessity and coverage eligibility
+ Communicate with prescribers, pharmacies, and internal stakeholders to obtain additional clinical information
+ Document review outcomes accurately and efficiently
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory, payer, and client requirements
+ Support quality initiatives and process improvement efforts
+ Manage multiple cases while meeting productivity and turnaround time expectations Required Qualifications
+ Active Pharmacist license (PharmD or RPh) in the state of residence
+ Prior authorization review experience strongly preferred
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
+ Self-motivated with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
+ Ability to work independently in a remote setting Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) platforms
+ Managed care, utilization management, or health plan experience
+ Appeals review experience
+ Knowledge of payer-specific prior authorization workflows
+ Understanding of medical versus pharmacy benefit determinations
+ Experience reviewing specialty medications, including biologics, oncology, immunology, and rare disease therapies

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
