- Reviews and interprets specialty medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to treatment guidelines.
- Establishes specialized patient counseling and education on the proper administration, potential side effects, and therapeutic goals of specialty medications.
- Confers with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and facilitate reimbursement for specialty medications.
- Conducts most complex medication assessments, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and potential medication-related problems specific to specialty medications.
- Assesses patient response to specialty medications, evaluating therapeutic outcomes and adjusting treatment plans.
- Educates healthcare providers on specialty medications, dosing, drug interactions, and alternative therapies.
- Integrates with the multidisciplinary care teams, providing clinical recommendations and contributing to treatment decisions for patients requiring specialty medications.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols in the handling, storage, and dispensing of specialty medications.
- Stays updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in specialty pharmacy practice, incorporating new knowledge into patient care. Required Qualifications
- Current Pharmacist License in good standing in State of Arizona.
- Reside in the State of Arizona within commutable distance of Chandler, AZ.
- Six months pharmacy experience.
- Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. Preferred Qualifications
- Licenses in other states desirable.
- Prefer Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions.
- Advanced problem solving and decision making skills.
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.
- Advanced collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Advanced growth mindset skills (agility and developing yourself and others).
- Advanced skills in execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting).

- Advanced digital literacy skills. Education
- Bachelor's / Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
