Job Description

- As a member of the Specialty Clinical Team, you will report to a Supervising, Specialty Operations Pharmacist. Daily work assignments include both inbound and outbound calls to patients to discuss medication therapy, side effect management and adverse event reporting. As a
- Senior Specialty Consultative Pharmacist
- your primary responsibility will be to assess and evaluate the conditions of our members, with an emphasis on medication therapy, through telephonic interactions to ensure they achieve and maintain wellness.
Assignments:
- + Inbound/Outbound calls to members. + Review prescriptions for accuracy + Check for drug-drug interactions + Evaluate appropriateness of disease state, dosage, directions and therapy + Utilize electronic resources and guidelines to assist in professional decision making

- Required Qualifications
- + Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy (PharmD) + Active Pharmacist license from the state of Florida, Texas, Ohio or Arizona Board of Pharmacy without restrictions or disciplinary action.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Pharmacist Board Certification
- Oncology, Specialty, Geriatric, Pharmacotherapy, and Ambulatory + Proficient in Spanish + Previous experience in a Specialty Pharmacy setting + Previous experience with Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) + Previous Commercial, Medicare, or Medicaid experience + Previous clinical experience in managed care
