Pharmacist- SP0726 Berkeley Home Pharmacy is a family-owned and independently operated pharmacy that is located in Moncks Corner, & COMING SOON Summerville South Carolina. Our small-town pharmacy is fast, friendly, and offers good-old fashioned customer service. Our goal is to provide exceptional patient care while ensuring our customers feel at home while visiting our store. This Full Time Pharmacist Role is an opportunity to work with a locally owned and operated independent Pharmacy- where the owner not only knows the employees' names, but also the patients. Our Pharmacists take the time to go above and beyond for our patients while ensuring all required federal/state laws and regulations are met. To be successful in this role the applicant should be able to proficiently manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly and accurately while still providing the highest level of customer service. The applicant must also have a positive and cheerful attitude.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare, fill, and dispense drug orders by physicians and authorized personnel Has the responsibility and accountability to maintain narcotic inventory and other records, such as prescriptions and quality assurance Removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal Helps with the training of new employees Communicates problems and concerns to Pharmacist in Charge Helps pharmacy manager determine priorities by assigning routine work performed by technicians Assumes other duties within scope of training as assigned by Pharmacist in Charge Always maintains a neat and clean work area Observes and follows all SC State Board of Pharmacy guidelines at all times Maintain HIPPA regulations at all times Recognizes and communicates therapeutic substitution opportunities when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Independent Pharmacy experience Preferred but not required Retail Experience Preferred An active South Carolina Registered Pharmacist License (PharmD/RPH) Must have to ability to proficiently manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks including but not limited to: Prescription data entry, insurance rejects, prior authorizations, prescription transfers, inventory management, patient counseling, etc. Must have the ability to Perform medication reviews for interactions and patient safety. Experience utilizing PioneerRX pharmacy software (Preferred but not required) Must have the ability to proficiently utilize computers, scanners, phones, and other office equipment. Must be vaccine certified and have up to date CPR certificate. Must have the ability to consistently work 30 hours per week. Must have the ability to work weekend shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Have the ability to stand for up to 10 hours daily Must have the ability to climb stairs multiple times a day. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, and reach for medications on shelving. Must have the ability to communicate verbally. Must have visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal, reading, counting small pills, etc. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs; exerting up to 30 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently.
