Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity seeks experienced pharmacists to support a well-established 300+ bed hospital and Level III trauma center. The role offers a dynamic clinical environment where you will contribute directly to patient care through critical pharmacy services.
Location:
Gilmer, TX Position Type:
Contract (13 weeks +, possible Travel to Hire)
Schedule:
Four 10-hour day shifts per week Potential for a blocked schedule option (e.g., 8 days on, 6 days off)
Key Responsibilities:
Order and verify medication dispensing accurately and efficiently Oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure operational excellence Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize therapeutic regimens Apply expertise in pharmacokinetics for precise dosing adjustments Provide clinical consultations, including neonatal medication considerations and emergency medicine support Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for documentation and inventory management
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current pharmacist license valid in Texas Minimum of 1 year inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience preferred Strong familiarity with EPIC electronic health records highly advantageous Knowledge of pharmacokinetic dosing and neonatal medication protocols is a plus Experience working within emergency medicine settings enhances candidate profile This role is ideal for professionals ready to contribute their skills in an advanced hospital setting while enjoying a flexible work schedule.
