Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A well-established 120-bed community hospital is seeking an experienced Pharmacist with strong clinical skills, particularly in decentralized ICU pharmacy, to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment where your expertise directly supports optimal patient care.
Location:
Kerrville, TX Schedule & Duration:
Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM Coverage every 4th weekend Possibility to transition to second shift (11:45 AM - 10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts) Contract duration: 13 weeks or longer Flexibility in scheduling is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical pharmacy services, focusing on patient safety and medication management within the hospital setting Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including ICU, to optimize medication use Utilize hospital pharmacy systems including Meditech, MedKeeper for IV management, and Omnicell Support decentralized pharmacy operations with interventions, patient counseling, and clinical monitoring Ensure compliance with all regulatory and hospital policies
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist in Texas Solid hospital pharmacy experience with clinical expertise Experience working in ICU or decentralized pharmacy preferred Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to adapt to scheduling needs This contract position offers the chance to apply your clinical pharmacy expertise in a supportive environment with a growing team.
