As a Fixed Wireless Technician, you'll install and maintain the wireless and telecommunications infrastructure that delivers reliable broadband service to HCTC customers. This is an active field position, and working at heights is an essential function of the job. The successful candidate must be able to: Climb communications towers and poles and work safely at elevated heights Operate aerial lift/bucket equipment Work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions Perform the physical activities necessary to install and maintain telecommunications equipment, including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Obtain and maintain required pole-climbing and tower-climbing certifications Obtain a Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License within six months of hire if not already licensed Work after hours, weekends, and on-call assignments when required This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Ingram, Texas. The normal work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, although hours may vary based on operational needs. This position participates in an on-call rotation and may require after-hours and weekend work.
