Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist position is available for a 13-week contract in Norfolk, VA. This role requires a VA pharmacist license held at the time of application. The position offers a variety of shifts: Day shifts: 0630-1500, 0730-1600, 0900-1730, 1000-1830 Evening shifts: 1300-2130, 1430-2300 Overnight shifts: 1930-0730, 2030- Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, drug interaction assessments, order entry, and managing pain control analgesia, intravenous therapies, and antibiotics. Experience with chemotherapy, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing is preferred.
Key Qualifications:
Current VA pharmacist license (mandatory at application) At least 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience IV therapy expertise, pain control analgesia, antibiotics, drug interaction knowledge Hospital order entry and medication verification skills
EPIC EMR
charting experience (required) Chemotherapy, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic and renal dosing experience preferred Travel pharmacy experience advantageous, but not required This opportunity is ideal for a licensed clinical pharmacist with strong inpatient and EPIC system experience ready to contribute immediately.
