This 13-week contract position offers experienced pharmacists the flexibility to select between evening or overnight shifts, providing a work schedule that accommodates various preferences.

Schedule Options:

Evening Shift:

3:00 PM•11:30

PM Overnight Shift:

8:30 PM•7:30 AM (Monday-Thursday), 7:30 PM•7:30 AM (Friday-Sunday), working 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately verify and process medication orders within inpatient settings Manage clinical aspects of IV therapy, including pain-controlled analgesia and antibiotic treatments Monitor and identify potential drug interactions ensuring patient safety Utilize expertise in chemotherapy, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic, and renal dosing preferred for enhanced patient care Document precisely and efficiently using EPIC electronic medical records system

Qualifications:

Must hold an active Virginia pharmacist license at time of application submission Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience necessary; previous travel pharmacist experience considered a plus Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with IV preparations, controlled pain management, antibiotics, and medication order verification Familiarity with EPIC charting required to ensure seamless electronic documentation and coordination with healthcare teams
