Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) The IMCU is a 24 bed unit that provides care for higher acuity patients in neuro, cardiac, respiratory, surgical, and renal. Typical patients include respiratory failure/congestive heart failure, chronic trached ventilator patients, stroke and seizure patients, MI cardiac patients, Renal hemodialysis, and post op surgical patients with extensive wounds such as decubs, VAT's, ortho, and ostomy. We are a magnet designated facility that is committed to working together as a team to provide quality healthcare. Job Summary Provides safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process. Applies professional standards in ethics, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practice. Uses clinical knowledge and skills to meet the needs of their specific unit. Education Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program BSN or MSN preferred Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License BLS within 90 days of hire Experience None required 1 year of acute care (preferred) Previous healthcare experience (preferred) New Grads Welcome! Registered Nurse 6-month Transition to Practice Programs at
