Job Description
Overview PharmPro is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare in Spokane, WA a Long Term Care pharmacy. This pivotal role involves overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring medication safety, and providing exceptional patient care within diverse clinical settings. Description 1st position - Wednesday thru Friday 9-730 and Saturday 2-6 for 2nd position - Sunday 2-6 Monday and Tuesday 9-730 Licensed by the WA state pharmacy board. •If applicants only want 40 hours, schedule can be adjusted Accept and dispense prescription medications. Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns. Ensuring that the supply of medicines is within the law. Ensuring that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable. Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients ensure proper management of patient records and pharmacy files. Advising patients about medicines, including how to take them, what reactions may occur and answering patients' questions. Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions. Compound medications for external or internal use. Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures. Supervise pharmacy staff members including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, etc. Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Identify patient?s drug-related problems and effectively communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners. Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, pharmacy interns, etc. Doctor of Pharmacy degree required. Licensed by the WA state pharmacy board.
