Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a travel pharmacist position in a rural hospital setting in Northern Wisconsin. The hospital has 75 beds and features diverse inpatient and outpatient departments, offering a dynamic work environment for pharmacy professionals. The assignment is contract-based, starting as soon as possible, with an expected duration of 13 weeks or longer. The schedule primarily consists of day shifts with mainly 10-hour shifts. Occasionally, weekend rotations require 8-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee multiple concurrent tasks in a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying medication orders in EPIC, reviewing technician work for accuracy, and managing communications via pharmacist phone lines. Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy treatments. Support various hospital departments such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, emergency department, and surgical units. Maintain high standards of medication safety and accuracy while managing a typical inpatient census of 30-40 patients.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Licensed pharmacist with experience working in hospital pharmacy settings. Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system. Comfortable managing a fast-paced inpatient pharmacy and demonstrating strong multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
