Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide coverage at a long-term care facility in West Bend, WI. This contract role offers valuable experience working with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality medication management and patient care.
Responsibilities:
Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and legally Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage Maintain confidential patient and pharmacy records with precision Educate patients on medication usage, side effects, storage, and medical devices Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications Offer patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure, and cholesterol monitoring Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following protocols Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks Manage pharmaceutical inventory efficiently Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues
Qualifications:
Current pharmacist license in Wisconsin (required) Experience in retail pharmacy accepted; training will be provided for those new to long-term care Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively Competence in managing pharmacy records and inventory
Schedule:
Contract duration: 2 weeks (October 5 to October 16) Monday to Friday, 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM This role provides a chance to expand your pharmacy practice and impact patient health directly within a collaborative care environment.
