This energetic position involves managing medication inventory, assisting with patient service, and maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical regulations. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth pharmacy workflows, uphold safety standards, and deliver outstanding service to our diverse patient community. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV admixture procedures and compounding medications in accordance with aseptic techniques and sterile procedures. Manage inventory by receiving shipments, conducting data entry for stock updates, and maintaining accurate records of medication supplies. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating patient information, and ensuring proper documentation while maintaining patient confidentiality. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, guiding patients through medication pick-up, and addressing concerns professionally. Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulatory standards, including drug regulation laws, state and federal pharmacy laws, and medical terminology accuracy. Operate pharmacy software systems efficiently for prescription processing, data entry, and record keeping. Assist with medication administration support tasks such as drug regulation adherence and pharmacological medical terminology clarification for healthcare staff. Experience Previous pharmacy technician experience or similar role in hospital or community pharmacy settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation policies, and medical terminology. Experience working within LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, or acute care environments is advantageous. Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, IV infusion procedures, sterile compounding techniques, and aseptic procedures is desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent healthcare safety training is a plus. Proven ability to handle sensitive information responsibly while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations. Strong customer service skills combined with attention to detail in data entry and inventory management.
