Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract Lead the operational management of a busy pharmacy serving approximately 1,100 - 1,200 prescriptions weekly in San Carlos, AZ. This role involves overseeing a diverse team of 64 pharmacy professionals, including pharmacists, lead technicians, technicians, and clerical staff, to ensure efficient and compliant pharmacy services. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily workflow and staffing schedules for pharmacists, technicians, and clerical personnel to meet operational demands. Oversee pharmacy cleanliness and organizational standards. Lead reconciliation processes for medication and supply orders, addressing discrepancies and communicating resolutions. Collaborate in setting and achieving departmental goals aligned with the broader organizational strategic plan. Provide leadership and guidance to foster a productive and compliant pharmacy environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy school. Minimum of 3 years of pharmacist experience with at least 2 years preferred in a hospital setting. Current and active pharmacist license required; Arizona state license preferred but not required.
