The Director of Pharmacy will ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services and compliance with all applicable laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage overall pharmacy operations to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. Oversee compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring, adhering to USP 797 and USP 800 standards, alongside State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Ensure pharmacy practices meet all local, state, and federal licensing and standards requirements. Prepare and verify prescriptions, solutions, and medications accurately and promptly. Conduct assessments of patient, drug, and disease information to identify drug-related problems and revise care plans accordingly. Supervise and support Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns in daily operations. Manage controlled substances, including preparation, distribution, and security. Collaborate with physicians and referral sources as needed. Serve as a drug information resource and support sales efforts. Maintain on-call pharmacist schedule and provide coverage when required. Lead managerial tasks involving hiring, training, performance management, goal setting, and strategic planning.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist with relevant clinical experience. Current and in good standing California pharmacy license; additional licensure as required. 3-5 years of pharmacist experience, ideally with direct compounding and specialty pharmacy or home infusion background. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on training, educating, and leading by example. Customer service excellence and familiarity with CPR and Care Tend systems are desirable.
