Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire A full-time Director of Pharmacy position is available to lead operations in a Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy setting. This role requires oversight of pharmacy services, staff management, and compliance with regulatory standards to ensure high-quality patient care and medication safety.

Responsibilities:

Direct the pharmacy and operational functions to maintain effective and efficient services. Ensure adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 standards as well as State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Oversee compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring activities in line with medical prescriptions. Guarantee all pharmacy operations comply with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements. Prepare prescriptions, solutions, and medications accurately and in a timely manner. Assess patient and drug information to identify and resolve drug-related problems or needs. Develop and revise patient care plans accordingly. Supervise Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns in medication preparation. Manage controlled substances' preparation, distribution, security, and documentation. Collaborate with physicians and referral sources as necessary. Act as a drug information resource for internal teams and support sales initiatives. Participate in on-call scheduling and cover pharmacist duties as needed. Perform managerial duties including hiring, training, performance management, team development, payroll approval, and strategic planning. Execute additional assigned responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) or Registered Pharmacist with relevant clinical experience. Active and good-standing California pharmacy license; additional licenses may be required. Minimum of 3-5 years of pharmacist experience, preferably with direct compounding. Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience is highly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong customer service skills. CPR certification and Care Tend experience are desirable.
