Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire A full-time leadership role is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead a Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy in Pleasanton, CA. This position directs pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations while delivering high-quality pharmacy services and medical supplies to patients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all pharmacy and operations functions to ensure efficiency and compliance. Ensure adherence to

USP 797, USP

800, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Provide and supervise compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services safely and accurately. Prepare prescriptions, medications, and formulations, ensuring precision and safety. Conduct ongoing assessments of patient drug and disease information to identify and address medication-related needs. Manage controlled substances including their preparation, distribution, security, and maintenance. Serve as a drug information resource and collaborate with physicians and referral sources. Lead pharmacist team hiring, training, performance management, and strategic planning. Participate in and coordinate pharmacist on-call schedules. Support sales efforts through drug information and clinical insights. Perform other managerial and clinical duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) with relevant clinical experience. Current and good-standing California pharmacist license; additional licenses as required. 3-5 years of pharmacist experience, preferably with direct compounding and specialty pharmacy or home infusion expertise. Strong knowledge of infusion therapies and pharmacy operations. CPR certification and CareTend proficiency are desirable. Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
