Direct Hire Responsibilities:

Lead pharmacy and operational functions to guarantee efficient and compliant service delivery. Maintain strict adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 standards, alongside State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Oversee compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services safely and effectively. Ensure all pharmacy practices comply with local, state, and federal licensing and standards. Prepare prescriptions, solutions, and medications accurately and promptly. Assess patient, drug, and disease information to identify potential drug-related issues and develop or update patient care plans. Supervise Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns in formulation preparation and quality assurance. Manage controlled substances handling including security, distribution, and documentation. Collaborate with physicians and referral sources as necessary. Act as a drug information resource supporting sales team efforts. Participate in on-call scheduling and provide coverage as needed. Manage direct reports through hiring, training, performance management, goal setting, conflict resolution, and strategic planning. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or R.Ph. license with appropriate clinical experience. Current and good-standing California pharmacist license; additional licensure may be required. Minimum 3-5 years pharmacy experience with direct compounding strongly preferred. Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience highly desirable. CPR certification and Care Tend proficiency are advantageous. Strong customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. This direct hire position offers a competitive compensation range of $175,000 - $185,000 based on experience.
