Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract An Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager position is available at a 250-bed hospital in Northern California, starting ASAP for a 3 to 6 month assignment. This role is ideal for a seasoned pharmacy leader experienced in managing comprehensive pharmaceutical services within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of pharmaceutical care delivery, ensuring clinical, financial, administrative, and information system functions run smoothly Plan, organize, coordinate, and control pharmacy workflow to meet organizational goals Hire, train, and supervise pharmacy staff to maintain high standards of practice and performance Communicate effectively with pharmacy management, hospital personnel, and physicians to facilitate coordination and quality patient care Maintain strict compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations Utilize hospital and community resources to address operational needs and improve service delivery Act as the Director of Pharmacy in their absence, providing leadership continuity
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience within pharmacy operations, preferably in a hospital environment Strong knowledge of pharmacy clinical services, regulatory requirements, and operational management Ability to manage staff recruitment, training, and performance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic healthcare setting

Northern California (Watsonville area) This contract assignment represents a unique opportunity for a pharmacy professional ready to take charge and drive operational excellence in a dynamic hospital environment. Candidates must be prepared for an immediate start and a commitment of 3 to 6 months. Qualified individuals with a track record of leadership in pharmacy management are encouraged to apply today. Compensation for this position ranges from $72.00 to $87.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
