Responsibilities All Pharmacists Verify prescriptions and perform prospective drug utilization reviews (DUR) to ensure safe and accurate dispensing. Communicate with providers regarding medications, drug interactions, and clinical concerns. Counsel patients on prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and nutritional supplements. Administer immunizations and provide high-quality pharmaceutical care. Assist with dispensing, data entry, and workflow as needed. Greet customers and answer incoming phone calls. Operate the point-of-sale system. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain inventory and support profitability. Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. Resolve customer concerns with professionalism, compassion, and sound clinical judgment. Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) Lead, mentor, and support the pharmacy team in partnership with the Lead Pharmacy Technician. Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused workplace culture. Lead by example, promoting professionalism, accountability, and exceptional patient care. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and oversee the proper handling of controlled substances, investigating and reporting discrepancies as required. Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures. Respond to insurance audits, regulatory inspections, and Board of Pharmacy inquiries. Recruit, onboard, train, and develop pharmacy staff in partnership with the Lead Pharmacy Technician. Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching. Report pharmacy operations and performance to ownership. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient pharmacy environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
