Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations at a 25-licensed-bed facility in Hillsboro, IL, for a six-week contract. This role requires partnering closely with clinical teams to ensure quality pharmacy services in a small hospital setting with an average daily census of 8 patients, including inpatient, observation, swing bed, and outpatient care.

PM Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and collaborate with the Infection Prevention Specialist on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Infection Prevention Committee Manage sterile compounding processes and ensure adherence to quality and regulatory compliance with support from the compliance team Facilitate onboarding and training for PRN pharmacists and technicians, including assessing delegation of job roles amongst the pharmacy team Support Oracle CPOE conversion efforts Oversee use of pharmacy technologies including Sentri7 automation, Pyxis system, and sterile compounding equipment Provide administrative support related to order filling and pharmacy operations

Qualifications & Experience:

Demonstrated Director or pharmacy leadership experience is required Familiarity with CPSI order entry systems preferred but not mandatory Experience or knowledge of CPS is a plus Strong understanding of sterile compounding and regulatory compliance expectations This position offers dedicated training, including hospital onboarding, system orientation, and compliance support to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
