Retail Pharmacist Shift - Shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with weekend and holiday requirements. Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Retail Pharmacist, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and community health. In this vital role, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure medication safety, and provide exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Dispense prescriptions accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards. Conduct patient assessments to determine medication appropriateness, including medication therapy management and clinical evaluations. Prepare and compound medications following USP 797 guidelines, ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained for sterile preparations. Provide immunizations and health screenings, educating patients on medication use, side effects, and health management strategies. Manage pharmacy inventory efficiently, including stock replenishment, drug regulation compliance, and controlled substance accountability. Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record, and other pharmacy software to process prescriptions, document patient interactions, and ensure accurate record keeping. Lead pharmacy team members by managing daily operations, fostering professional development, and ensuring high standards of patient service and clinical practice. Maintain strict confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations while communicating with patients and healthcare providers. Requirements MA Pharmacy license Prior experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist.
