Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our long-term care pharmacy in Eden Prairie, MN. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing pharmacy operations, supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering superior patient care. The ideal candidate will combine strong pharmacy expertise with proven leadership and business acumen to drive financial performance, operational excellence, and quality outcomes.

Schedule:

Swing & weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the long-term care pharmacy.
• Develop operational standards and performance expectations for pharmacy staff.
• Motivate, coach, and hold staff accountable for accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Lead regular department meetings, ensuring alignment with company goals and initiatives.
• Oversee financial performance, including purchasing, contracts, accounts payable/receivable, collections, and reconciliations.
• Manage prescription process flow, packaging/pre-packing procedures, and inventory.
• Ensure optimal staffing levels and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Promote open communication across teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
• Oversee quality assurance and compliance reporting, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards (OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, etc.).
• Provide professional pharmaceutical care, including prescription verification, to support patient safety and positive outcomes.
• Drive new business growth and strengthen customer relationships.
• Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge when needed.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong leadership, business acumen, and results orientation.
• Experience with inventory management, automation, and logistics preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with urgency in a dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to lead change, inspire teams, and drive operational improvements.
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to build long-term partnerships.
• Analytical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacy compliance and regulatory requirements. Must Haves
• Licensed Pharmacist in Minnesota (must obtain additional state licenses as required).
• Minimum of 2 years in long-term care, specialty, or large mail-order pharmacy operations.
• 3-5 years of proven upper-level pharmacy management experience.
• Experience with quality metrics and operational performance management
