Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire An experienced Pharmacy Manager is sought for a direct hire opportunity at a retail location in Binghamton, NY. This full-time role offers a variable day/afternoon shift schedule, with approximately 62 hours bi-weekly. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and profitability of the pharmacy department, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Foster collaboration with store operations and communicate company strategy to pharmacy associates. Ensure accuracy and compliance for all prescriptions by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with state and federal regulations. Manage inventory control and order pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits. Align department performance with key metrics to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; provide training, coaching, and discipline as needed. Address and resolve customer issues to build trust and loyalty. Engage with healthcare providers for prescription clarifications and customer care. Maintain security and cleanliness of the pharmacy area. Prioritize and complete essential pharmacy department tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call processing. Support continuous staff development to enhance performance and reduce turnover.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Current New York State Pharmacist License. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience in retail pharmacy management preferred.
