Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract A well-established retail pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at their Oneonta, NY location. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with strong leadership skills and a commitment to patient-centered care. The position is contract-based with options for interim or permanent placement, offering a dynamic environment to manage pharmacy functions and contribute to community health initiatives.

PM Closed Sundays Key Responsibilities:
Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist-in-charge. Maintain compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies. Oversee all pharmacy department operations to meet financial goals, including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management. Lead business development efforts within the store and broader community. Manage and evaluate pharmacy support staff performance. Provide training and enforce adherence to regulatory and company policies for pharmacy associates. Ensure completion of all mandatory company training programs by staff. Participate in patient services such as immunizations, MTM, and wellness programs. Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, interactions, and side effects, promoting adherence and optimal therapy outcomes. Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment consistent with legal and company standards. Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Current NY Pharmacy License Immunization Certification and comfortable administering all vaccines (required) Recent Pharmacy Manager experience preferred
