Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations at a well-established retail location in Ogdensburg, NY. This leadership role involves comprehensive management duties ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge. Maintain pharmacy compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations and policies. Manage the entire pharmacy operation including budget oversight, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control to ensure financial stability. Drive business development efforts in-store and within the community. Supervise pharmacy support personnel, including job performance reviews and training. Ensure all pharmacy associates complete required company training and adhere to regulatory standards. Lead patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medications, dosages, interactions, side effects, and therapy monitoring. Promote continuous quality improvement programs to enhance patient safety. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to company and legal standards. Fulfill continuing education requirements mandated by state law.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist in New York State. Immunization Certification is required; must be comfortable administering all vaccines. Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
