Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract This Pharmacy Manager opportunity is available on a contract basis, with options for interim or permanent placement. The position is located in Ogdensburg, NY, offering a structured schedule of Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with Sundays closed. Responsibilities include registering with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist-in-charge and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and board regulations, as well as company policies. You will oversee the entire pharmacy operation to meet financial targets—managing budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control. Participation in business development activities within the store and broader community is also essential. This role involves supervising pharmacy support personnel, conducting performance reviews, guiding and training pharmacy associates, ensuring they comply with regulatory and company policies, and confirming all staff complete required training. You will actively participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs, providing counseling to patients and healthcare providers about drug use, interactions, side effects, and therapy monitoring. Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and department facilities aligned with legal and company standards is expected. Additionally, continuous quality improvement efforts to ensure patient safety and completion of required continuing education are integral parts of the job.
