Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at their Mifflinburg, PA location. This direct hire position offers a dynamic schedule of variable day and afternoon shifts, with 10 to 12-hour shifts typically running between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm. The role requires a commitment of approximately 62 hours bi-weekly, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and clearly communicate pharmacy and company strategies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and regulatory compliance of all prescriptions by completing Drug Utilization Reviews and final quality assurance as per state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Grow the pharmacy business profitably through script growth, clinical programs, immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and other pharmacy initiatives.
  • Manage inventory and control costs by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand.
  • Align department performance objectives with key metrics to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting with medical-related inquiries and healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and discipline pharmacy staff and support personnel.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and uphold cleanliness and organization of the department.
  • Handle customer concerns and work with physicians to resolve prescription issues.
  • Oversee pharmacy department tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call follow-ups to ensure timely completion.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
  • Proven leadership experience in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
