Position Summary Exciting opportunity for a Dispensing Pharmacy Operations Manager in our Monroeville, PA Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy! The Pharmacy Operations Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Direct the filling and shipping areas of the Fulfillment Center to ensure that prescriptions are filled and shipped accurately and efficiently
- Ensure efficient "throughput" of work within the filling, quality control and shipping areas.
- Ensure that prescription orders flow through the Fulfillment Center to meet customer deadlines and ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Facilitate communication for problem resolution and changes occurring in the organization that may impact the workflow of the Pharmacy/Fulfillment areas.
- Oversees compliance with State and Federal regulations for designated teams.
- Manage the P & L to ensure profitability throughout the process.
- Meet with managers and directors of other departments to discuss cross-departmental issues and identify potential solutions.
- Communicate major changes within Fulfillment to other affected departments.
- Resolve escalated customer service issues.
- Provide motivation and management direction to staff to promote teamwork and customer service.
- Provide education/training opportunities to allow personal growth
- Responsible for staff adherence to policies and procedures
- Actively participate in the interviewing and selection of staff.
- Provide coaching and counseling or disciplinary action when necessary.
- Challenge team leaders to identify areas for improvement and potential solutions to issues within the Pharmacy
- Work with Materials Management to review and monitor contracts and product acquisition.
- Monitor and review current contracts for pharmaceuticals, shipping, and other related supplies and services.
- Determine appropriate cost levels and standards of products and services to be obtained.
- Meet with vendors to ensure contract adherence and to negotiate enhancements to services provided. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in production/operations/retail/mail order environment in a leadership role
- Proven ability to evaluate work and process flow to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Proven experience in a high intensity, fast paced production environment.
- Proven ability to effectively manage people and provide team leadership.
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Ability to travel as needed.
