Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 1 to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday, rotating shifts. Responsibilities:
Assists the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing medications and supplies. Cleans equipment and maintains all required temperature logs according to system policies and procedures. Checks medication and administration supply inventory for out-of-date products, removes products from inventory and works with the appropriate resource to record out of date products in the Expiring Medication log book. Performs computer entry of prescription information including, but not limited to, patient/prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation/entry, insurance billing and basic problem resolution. Prepares medications for clients through mixing medications, counting pills, and labeling bottles.
Minimum Requirements:
Work schedule: 8-hour shift (days/evenings rotating shift. Every other weekend.)
Education:
High School or GED.
Certification:
Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Experience:
One (1) year retail Pharmacy Technician experience.
