Retail Certified Pharmacy Technician - Roanoke, VA Soliant - 3.9 Roanoke, VA Job Details Temporary | Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Pharmacy Technician License PTCB Certification High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Support patient-centered care in a fast-paced mail order pharmacy environment as a Pharmacy Technician III. This contract role involves processing prescription orders, ensuring proper insurance adjudication, troubleshooting medication coding changes, preparing and packaging medications, and assisting with shipping. Reporting to the Operations Manager, Pharmacy, you will play a vital role in delivering at-home chronic care management with accuracy and attention to detail.
Location:
Roanoke, VA Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00
PM Duration:
13 weeks, with an immediate start
Employment Type:
Contract/Temporary Key Responsibilities:
Interpret prescription directions (sig codes), select products, and process refills Perform data entry, verify insurance, and resolve claim rejections Prepare, label, and package medications for pharmacist approval Maintain inventory, complete cycle counts, and manage medication returns Handle inbound and outbound patient and prescriber phone calls Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and internal pharmacy protocols
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required 1-2+ years experience as a Pharmacy Technician Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification required Strong communication, multitasking, and time management abilities Contract information: Immediate need for 2+ technicians Signed contract required This position offers the chance to contribute to innovative, patient care-focused pharmacy services in a mail order setting.
