Interim/Contract Equity Staffing Group is Seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy / PIC We are seeking an experienced West Virginia-licensed Pharmacist to serve as the Interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for a behavioral health hospital in Huntington, WV. This position will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy while also providing hands-on staffing support. The ideal candidate will have previous hospital pharmacy leadership experience, strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements, and experience with Omnicell or similar automated dispensing systems. The current Director of Pharmacy is retiring and will provide onsite training and transition support . Key Responsibilities Serve as the facility's Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure safe, compliant medication management Perform both administrative and staffing pharmacist responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility pharmacy regulations Oversee medication dispensing, order verification, inventory, and pharmacy workflow Support medication management within a Behavioral Health hospital environment Provide guidance and direction to pharmacy staff Manage scheduling, staffing needs, policies, procedures, and operational priorities Oversee and work with pharmacy automation systems Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams to support safe and effective patient care Pharmacy Department The pharmacy team currently includes: 1 Full-Time Pharmacist 4 Per Diem Pharmacists 2.6 FTE Pharmacy Technicians Technician support for order filling, medication delivery, and inventory management
