Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract This opportunity invites an experienced pharmacy professional to assume a key leadership role as the Interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a hospital specializing in behavioral health. Located in Huntington, WV, this position plays a critical role in overseeing pharmacy operations and ensuring high standards of patient care during the current director's transition to retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including staffing and administrative duties as PIC Oversee and support a team comprising one full-time pharmacist, multiple per diem pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies within a 165-licensed bed facility Collaborate with clinical and support staff to maintain optimal pharmaceutical services in a behavioral health setting Utilize and manage automated systems including Omnicell for medication distribution and HCS order entry (training provided) Be available for on-call support following weekday shifts and throughout weekends

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Licensed pharmacist in West Virginia (required) Prior experience in hospital pharmacy management, ideally with involvement in pharmacy automation systems such as Omnicell Strong leadership capabilities and familiarity with behavioral health pharmacy practices Ability to independently manage pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow efficiently

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including on-call rotation during evenings and weekends
