Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract This opportunity offers a leadership role as an Interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) in a hospital setting. The position requires managing pharmacy operations within a behavioral health facility with 165 licensed beds and an average daily census of 130. The role supports a team consisting of one full-time pharmacist, multiple per diem pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians.

Milton, WV Contract Duration:

Starting August 31, 2026, until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired. This contract covers a transition period due to the current DOP's retirement.

Schedule & Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM On-call coverage required after each shift and on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory and institutional standards Provide staffing support and administrative oversight as the Pharmacist-In-Charge Collaborate with pharmacy technicians for order filling, delivery, and inventory management Utilize and manage the order entry system (HCS) and site automation technology (Omnicell); comprehensive training will be provided Support pharmacy services specific to a behavioral health setting Participate in onsite training guided by the retiring Director of Pharmacy to ensure smooth operational transition Maintain business casual dress code adherence while on site

Preferred Qualifications:

Active West Virginia pharmacist license Prior experience in hospital pharmacy management Familiarity with Omnicell automation systems This contract role is ideal for pharmacists with leadership experience seeking to guide a pharmacy team during a leadership transition.
