Pharmacy technician

Skills required: Hospital experience with Omnicell, filling machines, doing out dates, and general technician duties.

Arizona Pharmacy Technician with CPTB certification

Dates of Coverage needed: Start ASAP to cover leave of absence until December but could be longer depending on return.

Coverage Hours needed: Monday-Friday 7am - 2:30pm

No weekend coverage needed

Cerner, experience not required

Job responsibilities:

• Refill/Restock Omnicell cabinets
  
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and rotate stock to prevent expiration.
  
• Remove expired, recalled, or damaged medications.
  
• Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventory audits.
  
• Fill medication cassettes, bins, and patient-specific medication requests.
  
• Deliver medications to nursing units.
  
• Process medication returns and credits.
  
• Ensure accurate medication packaging and labeling before distribution.
  
• Support monitoring of high-alert medications.
  
• Assist with medication room inspections.
  
• Prepare monthly medication area audit documentation.
  
• Support patient own medication processing according to policy.
  
• Monitor emergency medication kits and antidote inventory.

2-3 days of training - pharmacist available at all times for questions
