• Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Temporary Pharmacy Technician Opportunity
• Behavioral Health Facility, Scottsdale, AZ A specialized behavioral health facility in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician with CPTB certification for a contract engagement starting ASAP. This temporary role covers a leave of absence and runs through December, with potential for extension based on return dates. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM
• 2:30 PM, with no weekend shifts required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Arizona-licensed Pharmacy Technician with active CPTB certification Hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred, especially in behavioral health settings Proficient with Omnicell automation systems and RX filling machines Familiarity with medication inventory management, including cycle counts and outdates Experience with medication packaging, labeling, and safety measures Basic knowledge of Cerner order entry system is a plus, but not mandatory Ability to work collaboratively with a small pharmacy team (2 pharmacists, 1 technician)

Key Responsibilities:

Refill and restock Omnicell cabinets, maintaining accurate inventory and rotating stock to prevent expiration Remove expired, recalled, or damaged medications promptly Execute scheduled cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure compliance Fill medication cassettes, bins, and patient-specific requests with accuracy Deliver medications to nursing units and process medication returns and credits Support medication room inspections and prepare audit documentation monthly Monitor emergency medication kits, high-alert drugs, and antidote inventories Assist in processing patient's own medications per policy guidelines Training provided over 2-3 days with pharmacist support available
