Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV admixture procedures and aseptic technique to ensure safe and effective drug delivery. Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, expiration date monitoring, and proper storage in accordance with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using pharmacy software systems, ensuring all documentation aligns with state and federal pharmacy laws. Support patient service initiatives by answering questions, processing prescriptions, and maintaining patient confidentiality throughout all interactions. Prepare compounded medications and sterile IV infusions following strict pharmaceutical calculations and hospital pharmacy standards. Ensure adherence to drug regulation guidelines by verifying prescriptions against medical terminology and pharmacological medical terminology. Maintain a high level of customer service by assisting patients with medication intake instructions and coordinating with healthcare providers as needed. Skills Proven experience as a pharmacy technician in LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, or community pharmacy settings. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation, and medical terminology related to acute care and critical care environments. Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes for medication management. Familiarity with state healthcare regulations, pharmacy laws, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care, medication administration support, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
