Roseville, CA Insync Consulting is seeking an experienced Epic Billing Queue Management Technician to support daily revenue cycle operations. This role is responsible for monitoring and resolving billing work queues within Epic Resolute , ensuring charges, claims, edits, follow-up items, and denials are processed accurately and timely. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working Epic Resolute billing work queues and a strong understanding of medical billing, claims processing, payer requirements, and revenue cycle workflows. Key Responsibilities Monitor and work assigned Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) work queues , including claim edits, charge review, charge router, follow-up, denials, and credits. Review and resolve billing edits and errors to ensure claims meet payer and regulatory requirements. Research accounts and correct patient, guarantor, insurance, coverage, and charge-level information as needed. Prioritize work based on dollar amount, aging, timely filing deadlines, and departmental priorities. Identify recurring billing errors and trends and escalate systemic issues to leadership, Epic/IT teams, or payers. Collaborate with coding, registration, clinical departments, and other revenue cycle teams to resolve complex accounts. Accurately document account activity and follow-up within Epic. Assist with Epic work queue changes, workflow improvements, upgrades, and testing. Help identify opportunities to reduce queue volumes, improve workflow efficiency, and minimize claim delays. Maintain knowledge of payer requirements, billing regulations, and organizational policies. Consistently meet productivity, accuracy, and quality standards while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. 2+ years of medical billing, claims processing, or revenue cycle experience. At least 1 year of hands-on experience working billing work queues in Epic Resolute (HB, PB, or both). Working knowledge of UB-04 and
CMS-1500
claim forms, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and revenue codes. Experience with commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care billing requirements. Strong understanding of medical billing and revenue cycle workflows. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Technical Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with clearinghouses such as SSI and payer portals including Availity, Waystar, or Experian . Experience supporting Epic work queue build, routing rules, or workflow redesign. Epic Resolute Hospital Billing certification, proficiency, or credentialed training.
CRCR, CPB
, or comparable revenue cycle certification. State Pharmacy Technician license or related pharmacy/healthcare certification. Advanced revenue cycle certification such as CHRI, CRCR, or 340B ACE .
Pay:
$32.00 - $37.00 per hour
