• Employee Discounts Description Of Responsibilities The Pharmacy Technician (Compounding) is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist with filling orders received by the pharmacy.

Reporting Relationship Supervisor of Cleanroom Operations Responsibilities Include The Following:

1. Reports any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer. 2. Represents the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner. 3. Compounds, dispenses and packages medications under the direction of the on-duty pharmacist such as: a. Preparing cleanroom for daily activity b. Clean and Check equipment c. Monitoring Stock in and out of cleanroom d. Ability to operate cleanroom equipment e. Ability to compound any and all drugs f. Monitoring cleanroom and Refrigerators temperature g. Help monitoring Stock in the Warehouse 4. Disposes of drugs properly 5. Must complete all competencies and training within the first 90-days of employment. 6. Ensures compliance with all licensure and federal, state, and local laws and regulations; observe the pharmacy's policies on ''best practices''. 7. Reports product incidents as required in accordance with pharmacy policy. The following functions require the professional judgment of a pharmacist and may not be performed by a pharmacy technician: 1. Acceptance of verbal prescriptions. 2. Certification of filled prescriptions. 3. Weighing or measuring active drug ingredients without verification by a pharmacist. 4. Reconstitution of prefabricated medication without verification by a pharmacist. 5. Entry of orders into the computer system without verification by pharmacist.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Experience in a pharmacy, or home infusion company is a plus. Experience in a consumer-related business is a plus. One (1) year of CareTend, CPR+ experience preferred Licensure/Certification Pharmacy Technician License in California required. Skills & Competencies Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions. Computer skills include proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail. Possess and exercise advanced level of accuracy. Ability to use good judgment and work with minimal direction. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical issues in "layman" terms. Fluency in a second language is preferred. Strong interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with a professional and collaborative approach. Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
