Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital or acute care setting. This position requires proficiency in medication administration, aseptic technique, and a commitment to patient safety. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions and inhalation therapies. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure safe medication administration. Perform aseptic techniques to prepare sterile products in compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide critical care support and enhance patient outcomes. Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects. Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards of practice. Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as needed. Participate in quality assurance activities to improve pharmacy services. Experience Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and IV infusion preparation is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient care practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
