Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile compounded medications under licensed pharmacist supervision following USP and USP standards. Maintain aseptic technique and cleanroom procedures to ensure product safety. Perform pharmacy calculations and accurately prepare compounded sterile products. Assist in preparation, labeling, packaging, and shipment of infusion medications. Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and quality assurance documentation. Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, receiving medications, and supplies. Support expiration date monitoring and product rotation to ensure compliance. Maintain cleanroom equipment and participate in environmental monitoring tasks. Assist pharmacists with medication order processing and prescription fulfillment. Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA, OSHA, and company policies. Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training. Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred. Minimum 1 year of sterile compounding experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology settings. Knowledge of USP and USP sterile and hazardous compounding principles. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and related technology.
