Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Pharmacy Technician who excels in customer service and thrives in a team environment. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional support to patients. A focus on creating a positive experience for customers and working collaboratively with pharmacy team members is essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence :
Provide courteous and professional service to patients and customers, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and friendly manner. Ensure customers feel comfortable and confident in the pharmacy services provided, offering helpful information about medications and services as needed. Assist customers with prescription drop-off and pick-up, making the process smooth and efficient.
Team Collaboration :
Work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to ensure the timely and accurate dispensing of medications. Communicate effectively with pharmacy team members, sharing important information regarding inventory levels, prescriptions, or patient needs. Assist in maintaining a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and mutual respect.
Medication Preparation and Dispensing :
Accurately prepare and label prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Assist in maintaining appropriate medication inventory, including ordering and stocking medications. Ensure that medications are dispensed accurately and in compliance with all pharmacy regulations.
Administrative Support :
Process medication refills and assist with medication records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Handle customer transactions, including insurance verifications and payment processing. Maintaining a
Clean and Organized Workspace :
Keep the pharmacy clean and organized, ensuring workstations and inventory areas are well-maintained. Assist with organizing and restocking medication shelves.
Qualifications :
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician certification preferred (CPhT or equivalent). Previous pharmacy technician experience is required.
Skills & Attributes :
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively and effectively with both customers and team members. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure. A proactive and positive attitude, with a strong willingness to help others. A collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to a supportive and efficient team environment.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light weight (e.g., medication boxes or containers). Ability to focus on tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Why Join Us?
