Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

In addition to performing all functions and duties described under the Pharmacy Technician job description, the Senior Pharmacy Technician position will assist the Director of Pharmacy and the Pharmacist in Charge in all third party billing functions, monthly sales reporting, inventory control programs and the supervision of the other pharmacy technician/clerk staff.

Education/Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent education required2. Completion of pharmacy technical program or on the job education/pharmacy work experiences required3. Registration with HI State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician required; if not had at time of hire will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire.4. A minimum of five (5) years experience as a pharmacy technician preferred5. Must attend educational/training sessions related to performing above duties6. Three years experience in third party pharmacy billing and collection preferred7. Three years experience in purchasing and inventory control Programs preferred8.
