Order Entry Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a dependable, experienced and proficient Entry Technician that will process prescriptions and work closely with our Wellness, Hospice, and/or Long Term Care Teams to meet our patient's daily needs. You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As an Entry Technician you must be detail-oriented, organized, and reliable. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers. Experience with IPS (Pharmacy software system) is a huge bonus!
Experience/Education:
MUST HAVE SIGNIFICANT PRESCRIPTION ENTRY EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or Equivalent Be at least 18 years of age. Must be an Idaho Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacy Technician. This process includes a Criminal Background Check. Applicants must obtain continuing education on an ongoing basis to maintain Certification.Essential Functions:
Must have significant data entry experience with metrics , experience with IPS preferred. Filling/processing prescriptions (as needed) with close attention to detail Paperwork, administrative tasks and filing as needed Processing insurance claims including follow-up phone calls and problem solving to assure each claim is processed through to completion including trouble shooting errors. Collect identifying information as needed to assure accuracy Answer phones promptly and direct or assist as needed Customer service with a smile Follow all HIPPA and GINA regulations and rules. Able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; this may include using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and being able to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Stocking shelves (putting things in their designated places) and work stations as needed. Inventory control, ordering, and order processing and recording. Cleaning Pharmacy, completing Daily and Weekly task lists Any and all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager or as circumstances dictate. Perform all tasks in a safe manner that is consistent with company policies as well as state and federal laws.Physical Requirements:
PRESCRIPTION ENTRY EXPERIENCE
is a MUST!! Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours. Must be able to lift and push or pull up to 50lbs. Pick and pinch small tablets with fingers, and seize, hold, grasp or turn objects with hands. Perceive the size, shape, temperature, or texture of objects by touching with fingertips. See objects at close vision and be able to identify and distinguish colors.Other skills and abilities include:

Have typing skills of at least 30 wpm. Pass a drug test. Maintain information confidentiality Offer flexibility in work hour scheduling.Other Duties:

Full-time employees work approximately 40 hours per week. Pharmacy open hours are Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm, with operational hours until 8pm. Our weekend hour are Sat-Sun 1pm-4pm. We are currently looking for Mon-Fri 9am-6pm for full time, and are willing to consider a part time flex schedule for the right candidate. It is expected that all staff stay until all tasks for the day/shift are complete. Whether you are designated primarily as an entry tech, or primarily as a fill tech, all of these responsibilities apply and you are expected to help with all tasks as time allows.
