LOCATION

On-site, Crown Point AND Valparaiso, IN Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations in two key roles, Front Desk Technician and Lab Technician. As a Front Desk Technician, this role focuses on customer service, prescription processing, and front-desk operations, including answering phones and waiting on customers. As a Lab Technician, this role is responsible for compounding non-sterile and sterile compounds, maintaining quality standards, and supporting production needs alongside other team members under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Key Responsibilities Front Desk Technician

• Provide excellent customer service both in person and by phone
• Assists customers with supplement recommendations
• Enter prescriptions accurately and timely
• Enter point-of-sale transactions accurately
• Monitor voicemail and answer the same business day
• Process and complete customer insurance claim forms for the patient
• Monitor and follow-up on pending refill requests
• Check in supplier shipments, price, and shelf items, pull out any special order items and notify the patient
• Prepare prescriptions for patient pickup or by mail Lab Technician
• Complete assigned prescriptions within daily deadlines
• Ensure quality, sanitation, and documentation compliance
• Weigh, measure, and compound medications according to the prescription and the pharmacy's Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain proper use and calibration of lab equipment

• Previous pharmacy or compounding experience preferred but not required

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 40.0 per week
