Job Description

Job Summary:
Greet and provide pharmacy customers with quality customer service through locating merchandise, dropping off and picking up of prescriptions also restocking front end OTC products.
Summary of essential job functions:
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Provide essential customer service. Greet and assist patients with products and prescriptions. Manage prescription pickup time frame. Accept prescription orders from doctor's offices except when prohibited by laws.
CLERICAL
Complete sales orders/cash out patients on point of sale register. Review and communicate prescription information upon request. Bag and file prescriptions in appropriate destination. Prepare faxes, answer telephone, and handle the cash drawer. Comply with HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
RECEIVING
Receive, label, and distribute pharmaceutical supplies and medications. Follow corporate policy on purchasing procedures. Coordinate transfers between locations, as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Computer and electronic knowledge.
Mathematics:
Arithmetic, Algebra, and Geometry. Clerical and administrative knowledge. SKILLS Customer and personal service skills. Cash handling Data entry skills. Actively listen and respond with patients, co-workers, and medical staff. Reading comprehension. Process thinking in a critical manner.
ABILITIES
Communicate professionally either verbally and/or written. Ability to stand for four hour periods between breaks. Ability to lift a fifty pound maximum. Educational requirements A high school diploma or GED certificate. Previous retail experience recommended.
