Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Join a specialized team working within a
USP 797/800
cleanroom suite focused on sterile compounding at a compounding pharmacy. This contract position offers daytime hours, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, with a potential for direct hire.Key Responsibilities:
Perform aseptic sterile compounding in compliance with USP 797, 800, and applicable state and federal regulations, ensuring all products meet high-quality standards. Maintain the ISO-classified cleanroom environment through routine cleaning, sanitization, and environmental controls. Execute production tasks including equipment setup, labeling, calculations, filtration, and accurate documentation. Support production planning by preparing batches, staging materials, and collaborating with pharmacists and supervisors. Engage in continuous improvement efforts like root cause analysis and waste reduction to optimize workflow. Conduct quality activities such as visual inspection, sample handling, cleaning validations, and inventory rotation. Adhere strictly to garbing, gowning, and cleanroom behavioral protocols to protect sterility and safety. Communicate effectively with team members to resolve workload, equipment, or process issues.Qualifications:
Previous experience as a sterile compounding pharmacy technician. Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, aseptic behavior, and cleanroom operations. Ability to accurately follow detailed procedures, compounding formulas, and batch records. Proficient in basic math and detail-oriented tasks. Comfortable wearing PPE, including masks, gowns, gloves, and sterile garb for extended shifts. Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ownership and accountability for quality and compliance. Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential or willingness to obtain within required timeframe.Location:
