80 hours bi-weeklySchedule :
day/evening, every third weekend The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for processing and filling prescriptions and other healthcare products for residents under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves providing specialized support in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy settings, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, patient service, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Assist with medication intake by verifying prescription information and accurately entering new orders into the pharmacy system. This includes reading, interpreting, and transcribing prescriptions with a high level of accuracy to ensure safe and efficient processing. Communicate effectively with nurses and providers by answering incoming calls, addressing inquiries, and routing information appropriately. Provide high‑quality customer service during all phone interactions, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses to residents, nursing staff, and physicians. Create and maintain resident profiles and prescription information to provide accurate and updated care to residents. Processing refills and order changes. Insurance billing. Prepare, package, and dispense medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy protocols. Required Qualifications Prior experience and knowledge in data entry for pharmacy information systems. Mathematical skills including ability to calculate discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume; apply concepts of algebra to practical situations; interpret prescription quantities. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
