Pharmacy EDK Technician

WHO ARE PACE EDK EDK EKITS

+ Restock EKITS daily and update the expiration dates on content list as needed. + Remove soon to expire medication and replace as needed. + Build new EKITS as needed. + Periodically check shelves containing EKIT inventory for expired drugs + Provide a list of items that need to be ordered to the purchasing department. + Pre-package medication and products manually. + Ensure pre-pack log is completed each time medication is packaged. + Ensure all pre-packed EKIT inventory is verified by a pharmacist before it is placed on the shelf. + Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA + Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift + Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly + Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code + Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected + Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS COMPETENCIES

+ Knowledge of brand name/generic medications + Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. + Able to work at a moderate speed. + Able to work during inclement weather. + Reliable + Detail-focused with analytical problem-solving skills + Able to physically perform light lifting. + Must be able to work various shifts and day

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

+ High School diploma or equivalent required + Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice. + Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

+ May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day + The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk + May be necessary to work extended hours as needed + May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds + The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role
